Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
“Eye grew up in Illinois on the southside of Chicago. Most of my indoctrination took place during that time so Eye suppose Chicago has a great deal of influence on my writings; especially my anti-religion books.”
How did you come up with the title of your book?
“Well, Eye was preparing for an upcoming show on “Life After Christianity 101” when Eye received a phone call. Eye knew the caller (Dr. Yaffa Bey) from the so-called “black conscious” community where she too is known throughout the circuit as an advocate. She and Eye were discussing the show and Eye began to tell her of the struggles one goes through when purging the “Jesus” concept from their spirit. Eye used the analogy of marriage, and when Eye was done, Eye finished my statement with, “EYE DIVORCED JESUS!” She was so excited about what Eye said that she suggested Eye write a book with that title, “Divorcing Jesus.” Here we are almost 2 years later and Eye have finally released it.” Continue to read
